The main inspiration for this photo shoot was dictated by nature itself. The alleys of palm trees and flora lead us to tropical theme, and to make it more unique we opted for colonial style. Which goes hand in hand with exotic plants and florals.

Key décor elements

The reception and dessert tables were dressed in natural materials. Sticking to traditional formal dark wood furniture, the setups have been adapted and inspired by the tropics.

Mismatched furniture from natural materials like elegantly carved solid mahogany wood, rattan, bamboo and cane allowed for a sophisticated colour palette featuring black, chocolate brown, stone/taupe, grey, white and sage green.

Decorative accessories inspired by the spirit of conquests are a mix of classic fine china, crystals and tropical accents. Brass and silver provide a subtle sense of tradition, style and history. 

It is totally fine to mix some elements that appear to be different at first side. Golden cutleries and crystal glassware balanced the natural elements of the furniture. While the traditional fine china was paired with settle colour of linen.

The colour palette is well balanced, grey and dark brown enchased by presence of gold and white. To provide the contrast and colonial variety, the splashes of colours were inserted.

This became possible by bringing in the tropical florals and stationary with matching green and yellow.

Additional Details

Ornate wax seals, globes, iron bird cage, antique books and writing sets helped to reinforce the colonial feel, as did old-fashioned luxury luggage, ready for the honeymoon.
